Holistic view
The detrimental impact on health and safety of our industrial
operations shall be minimised by:
Taking account of the complete process when planning
for safety;
Seeking to ensure that a similar degree of care is
taken by our working partners;
Taking a leading position regarding health and safety
standards;
Making the provision of a safe working environment
a fundamental requirement, with regard to all legislation
and other regulations as a minimum standard.
Continual improvement
Our health and safety activities shall be integrated in all
our operations and shall improve continually by:
Formulating, communicating and monitoring clearly-defined
goals;
Involving all employees.
Technical development
We shall strive to exceed the legal minimum expectations by:
Continually improving our industrial operations, and
reducing risks associated with them;
Creating a healthy in-factory environment for all our
employees;
Reducing the use of hazardous substances;
Increasing the competence of all our employees.
Resource efficiency
Taking account of our products and customers, industrial operations
shall be such that:
The risk from all operations and substances used is
minimised;
The potential for accidents [non-lost time, lost time
and reportable] is minimised;
Health and safety management is facilitated.
Woodmet Anodisers Ltd health and safety programmes and their
results shall be communicated in an open and factual manner.
Each member of the executive management is responsible for
implementing action programmes based on this policy.
